Just arrived home early from our 5 star prestige caravan holiday at Haggerston Castle. Firstly how they managed to get a 5 star rating is beyond me. The entertainment area (if you can call it that!) was smelly and full of slot machines. The swimming pool was fine until you went into the changing room and I don't really want to know what was on the ground but towels and costumes and us were all washed thoroughly afterwards. The shop was expensive but what caravan park shop isn't. Secondly our car park outside the first caravan we were given was flooded but thankfully our Haven rep was really good and got us moved. The caravan we were given but we noticed we were getting bitten and by last night I was trying to kill fleas!! I kid you not, they were all over the place. I'm still scratching after a power shower and I'm having to wash all the clothes we took with us just in case.
I absolutely loved Berwick and the surrounding areas and will go back but never to Haggerston Castle and never with Haven. DO NOT GO TO HAGGERSTON CASTLE!!!!
