This year when I was low on money I realised there wouldnt be much chance of me taking a holiday abroad. I had the holiday time to spare but no money to spend! Then I got speaking to a friend of mine online and she had just got back from Devon. She said she had really enjoyed her time there and then sent me the link to the Farm & Cottage Holidays website.
I had a look around and then found a lovely little cottage around Bideford, North Devon. I called up the number and got through to a very polite, helpful lady who then sorted everything out for me. The only arrangements I made was getting down to Devon.
Three weeks later me and my other half went down and picked up the keys, We were welcomed by the landlord, who was so polite and welcoming, he then showed us around the house. And I have to say it was absolutely stunning.
We spent two weeks in Devon and it was brilliant, we had so much fun and got to unwind because the atmosphere is so relaxed down there. We even made a few friends who we keep in touch with still.
I do have to say I have seen some reviews on here about Farm & Cottage holidays and they are fairly negative but I strongly dissagree. If there were any problems with the places they stayed in it would most probably be down to the star rating firstly, and if it really was that bad, they should inform the agency to investigate still promoting these places!
All I know is, because of this agent, I have been to devon three times this year and enjoyed myself thoroughly at a brilliant price, with the best of help!
I will, without a doubt be using them to travel again!

I can appreciate your experience with the agents. I can only say I'm glad your accommodation was owned and attended to by a very pleasant landlord. Where the agents fall from grace is when there is a problem with your accommodation. They are not prepared to do anything to help resolve any situation. They will not engage with any complaints. They leave holiday makers out on a limb when dealing with aggressive and obstructive owners. They will not get involved. This can ultimately lead to a very miserable holiday because your left in a potentially volatile situation in which they will not arbitrate.
