I have been with the Alliance and Leicester for over 4 years, with several accounts i.e. premier current, savings and isa. Tried to open the online saver 5, long hassle with renewed identification etc. After several weeks of silence had to ring up and finally got an account number over telephone,however this did not activate for 10days or more, went to a branch where money was then transferred. Now both accounts are inactive, customer service completely useless and and rude. Their secure message service is a joke- never get any reply from them. Stay well clear........
