I took my Seiko watch into H Samuels, to have a new battery fitted.
The lady assistant took my watch into a back room, then appeared 10 / 15 minutes later mumbling something about very small screws and told me the watch was no longer working.

She told me she couldn't do any more to the watch (was she qualified to mess about with Seiko watches ?) but a co-worker would be in the following day and have a look at it, and contact me with the findings. I left them my land-line and mobile numbers.

Four working days (how long does it take to look at a watch ?) I had a call from them. The lady on the phone told me that the'd looked at the watch, and it was broken but it had nothing to do with them, it must have bkoken by itself while the battery was being changed.

Does that sound feasible to you ? It doesn't to me !

I shall be getting on to H Samuals head office, and Seiko, complaining about the outragiuos service.

I am also going to seek advice, 'law of contract' etc.
