Sorry this is long winded but worth a read.

Appliances direct are probably the worst company I have ever dealt with and that is saying something! I ordered a Baumatic tumble dryer, Samsung American fridge freezer, Baumatic cooker hood and integrated Bosch washing machine all totalling around £1600 however the entire order was riddled with mistakes. Before placing the order I spoke with their sales people on the phone asking if the American FF would be bought into kitchen and they assured me that it was a 2 man delivery and would be bought into the kitchen. I had done some homework so made sure that what I ordered would fit through the doors and placed the order online. The funds were taken from my credit card as soon after the order was placed (which I don't have a problem with) however I received a phone call soon after indicating that the Bosch washing machine was end of life. This actually wasn't the case and nice lady I spoke with said there would had been a mistake and the order was wrong and she would get someone to place the order again. I therefore thought everything was fine and on track for delivery ready for installation into my new kitchen. Nearer the delivery date I received an email notification indicating that my order would be delivered on the Friday, however the washing machine was missing so once again I contact their customer services who then tell me that the washing machine hasn't been ordered and if I wanted one I would have to repay the deilvery fee. I decide against placing this order at the time and wait for the remainder of the order. Anyway the tumble dryer and cooker hood are delivered fine into the house, however the delivery men tell me the American FF would not fit through the door (incorrectly) and they will take it back and redeliver once the gate through the rear of the property was open at no extra cost. I phone Appliances Direct to arrange this however I speak to an extremely rude guy who tells me that because I refused the delivery it would be £75 regardless of whether I wanted the FF or not, he simply did not want to listen to the facts of the situation and said he would get his supervisor to call me back. THIS NEVER HAPPENED! I chased them the following week and after various long winded conversations with the same person (I never spoke to a supervisor) got nowhere and argued until they reduced the fee to £49 which is absolutely disgrace. My kitchen was delayed by 4 weeks as I had to reorder the FF and washing machine (this time I ordered from a well known supermarket) who delivered both items including the very same American FF through the very same doors! I would never order anything from this company again or the associated companies as should you have a problem the customer service team are the most unhelpful bunch in the world. In hindsight if I had done my homework and read some of the previous reviews I would not have ordered from them. I have a saying "Buy cheap, Buy twice!!".. How very true!!
