I always bought what some would call sensible saloon cars, but my last one was vandalised by someone in Wolverhampton in 2006. This year I decided that one car in the household was not enough and wanted something completely unlike me, so I bought an FTO 54000 miles pre owned by a 84 year old gent and a standard car to boot. I always liked the look of these and they still look great. Rear room is minimal but if you want that buy a Vectra. These cars go round corners as if they are on rails. The engine is very flexible and easy to live with I would advise you to get one with a new cam belt fitted or history of one. I paid nearly £400 for peace of mind. Tyres are reasonable too. Fuel economy is average but you do have 200 ponies under the bonnet to compensate. I am more than please with the spares availavility too.
