Travelled in the Sydney to LA sector, and I hope this helps for people wondering if Delta is a good choice. The flight left and arrived on time, that was perfect. Delta service at sydney airport was fantastic. The flight ended up being completely full. The seats were average, and i must say, for someone around 6ft tall, its rather uncomfortable. i've been a singapore airlines fan so far, and i've been spoilt by them with regards to leg room and a few other services. The crew were extremely nice, effecient and friendly, however, the food was nothing great to talk about.This is a new plane mind you,and it felt nice to sit in clean neew leather seats, but the inflight magazines was in a bad way, very untidy. no bathroom accessories for a long flight, and you reach LAX feeling sticky and dirty. For a 13 hour flight which left at 9 in the morning,we were serve lunch, tea with snacks and breakfast. Again, i've been spoilt by singapore airlines, who provide ample amount of food for a flight half the duration. the entertainment system is rather unfriendly to use. It is a touchscreen system, and I found the system rather tedious to use. Good choice of movies though. I've booked a ticket exploring the country, and got it at a rather cheap price. I would recommend this airlines to others exactly for that. But if you can afford a few hundred dollars more with other airlines, plying the same route, I would recommend taking them.
