    cheap and cheerful good day out

We arrived at Pleasure wood Hills near Lowestoft at 10am having left Cambridge at 8.15 and filled up with petrol on the way, to be greeted by Woody at the gate our 10 year old daughter still thought this was great. Having bought tickets on the internet £39 for the three of us me, hubby and daughter we went to the office and with not having to queue went straight in, for four hours and 15 minutes we walked, they rode on the two rollercoasters, the thunderbolt and various other rides (snake in the grass being 10 year olds fastest, bestest ever!!) and the hubby dared the Wipeout which he said was good too. There were lots of families with young children and I spoke to several who said they were happy with the facilities (always clean and tidy during our visit), and the rides for the little ones. We did not try the trampolines, or go karts as these charged extra, and we did not go to the circus show, but we did enjoy the parrot show with its variety of birds and the sea lions one of which was huge and all the kids got very wet when one sea lion was encouraged to splash. The fish and chips we ate were fresh and very nice and costing £14 for us three including drinks were very good value for money, the coffee at £1.40 excellant and the chocolate bars at 70p not bad compared to most theme parks. For a cheap good value day out this was excellent as long as no big thrill seekers in the group I would recoommend a visit.
