had 15kgs baggage allowance but tried to upgrade on line 6 and 5 days before(unable to access) could not contact anyone by phone as it was a bank holiday so tried to contact the next day but was unable to stay on the line long enough to speak to anyone (went down six places in the que 30th to 24th in 20 mins) so asked for call back by email they contacted me at 17.45 only to be told i could not upgrade luggage as it was now too late but i could pay at check (ie excess baggage £10 per kilo),i adjusted our luggage so we were under the 15kgs and off we went on our dirty,cramped and late plane.great holiday untill the return when with what we thoght were lighter bags we were charged £70 excess baggage.when we got off our again dirty,and cramped plane but early this time we went to the scales at newcastle and had our luggage re weighed and found them as we thought under the allowance.
never had such bad service from any other airline and we have flown on a lot,i would never fly with or recommend thomas cook
