I purchased two mobile phones from these guys but had problems with both handsets and had to return them for refunds. It's how they dealt with my returns that pleased and impressed me.

The first phone I ordered had a problem that I didn't feel was a fault, but just poor quality on the manufacturer's part. I requested a full refund as I wasn't happy with my purchase (to no fault of Handtec I must point out). I was told I could be charged a restocking fee if the items and packaging were not in pristine condition - 'fair enough' I thought. I returned everything in the same condition I received them but I did worry I may be charged anyway, as you do hear horror stories of unfair charges when dealing with internet retailers. To my delight, I was given a full refund, no questions asked. Considering the law states they only have to give me a refund if the product is unused and unopened I was very impressed by this. This made me feel that they can be trusted.

I still needed a new phone so I ordered from them again, but a different phone. That also arrived on time. After testing this one, there was also a problem very similar to with the first one. This phone was completely different from a different manufacturer so when I requested another refund I felt somewhat embarrassed and like I was messing them about. I was worried they wouldn't be as understanding as the first time. My worry turned into delight again when they gave me another full refund.

I decided to leave things at that as I didn't want to risk having another problem and have to request yet another refund. I don't think that would have been fair on Handtec. Maybe they just don't make phones like they used to anymore.

The customer service and after sales service of a company is always tested when the customer has a problem after the sale. It's far too easy these days to treat the customer sweet to get their business and then just forget about them once you've got their money. There are a few companies that believe customer is king, before AND after the sale but you can't tell who they are until you have a problem. Fortunately, Handtec is one of these companies. I'm 100% satisfied with the customer service of Handtec and would wholeheartedly recommend them. They acted beyond what the law states they have to, which I find very impressive. They proved they are trustworthy (something I feel is paramount when dealing over the internet) and proved it twice! I can't fault Handtec so I think they deserve no less than 5 stars for their exemplary after sales service!
