I was concerned about flying Iberia after reading all the bad reviews, but I was SO pleasantly surprised! I bought Iberia roundtrip JFK- Barcelna,Spain- but it was by far the cheapest fare I could find. On the way to Barcelona the flight was operated by American Airlines where food and in-flight services were barely mediocre. On the way back, however, both of the flights (Barcelona-Madrid, Madrid- JFK) were operated by Iberia and it was quite a contrast to AA. The food was great (including FREE wine and beer for which AA charges at least 6 Euro a pop). The service was great ( I was flying with a toddler so that REALLY mattered) I know Spain is bidding for 2016 Olimpics right now and may be Iberia is making a special effort now. Whatever the case might be-Bottom line is that I would highly recommend Iberia airline over most international airlines.
