- Ease of use

I am with HSBC for nearly 6 years and I hardly had my account overdrawn except twice in the last 6 years and that too I got overdrawn due to late 1 or 2 days late incoming payments. When I requested for overdraft just for few hundreds, they asked me to provide loads of details, it was like applying for a huge loan.
I can see what you are doing is sensible lending, which is fine and it is good practice. However, it is ridiculous to have such a complex overdraft request process for petty few hundred pounds.
I am not just upset about overdraft, I am upset because they are useless in everything they do.
HSBC InvestDirect Plus service is useless. HSBC InvestDirect user interface is not very friendly and the amount of Share information that is shown is very basic. I don't use that service even though I have an account, because InvestDirect Plus is rubbish.
HSBC credit card offers nothing to existing customers. I had HSBC credit card for many years, but in 5 years I got no offers and nothing. HSBC's CC is one of the worst credit card I ever had in comparison with other card lenders.
HSBC Plus account offers very little value for the £12 plus monthly charge. The fact is I don't have use for any of the plus service that I am paying for because most of the offer HSBC Plus does is absolute rubbish, offers that can be hardly used by customers.
I will be cancelling my current account with HSBC account soon.. Look at Natwest, RBS and LLOYDS, for the same price, the value they offer is more than double times value compared to HSBC.
HSBC is advertised as World's local bank but they charge their customers for foreign cash withdrawal. How the hell HSBC can be local bank? if they charge their customers for cash withdrawal outside UK. I am very surprised FSA let them run business with such false advertisements.
I can forsee the fall of HSBC, because people that I know are tired of HSBC and they think HSBC is a greedy company which doesn't care about its customers.
Overall, I am tired & bored of being HSBC customer and they are hopeless in all departments.
