My friend and I (58 & 60)have just returned from Presthaven Sands, we asked to be close to the facilities and were given a lovely caravan within easy walking (distance due to mobility problems). Although we did not use the facilities only the 1st weekend my granddaughter aged 4 really enjoyed herself, there being 2 pools, soft play,outdoor playground. The site itself catered well for the youngsters but nothing for the oldest generation, having been to Haven sites before we were aware of this and our intention was to use it as a base to visit surrounding areas. BUT we found we were stuck on the site because the walk to the entrance to the park was 1300metres away much too far for my friend to walk. Taxi fare to Prestatyn was £6.90 each way and a trip to Rhyl by taxi was £12.50 each way, quite a chunk out of our budget when we had hoped to catch a bus. We came on public transport so we were really stuck. This site is ideal for young families who have a car
