When you apply for this credit card and accept it, bear in mind that you are trying to rebuild your credit, use it only when neccessary and always pay the full amount, yes it can be expensive but that is the risk they are taking, i have sucessfully managed a vanquis account with an up grade to a gold card, my statements have always been on time, i have never once recieved any phone calls asking for money and thanks to vanquis have rebuilt my credit where i have contract mobile phones, (2 in my name) and have just recieved a credit card from a major lender. Maybe the negativity from some people is due to the fact they are not sure how to use the card. If you want my advice talk to vanquis about how to repair your credit when you get the card, always pay off the full amount, or at least 75% of the outstandind balance. Use it sensibly and you will be rewarded with a good credit.Remember you only pay a high interest rate if you dont pay off the full amount or at least try to pay a big amount and the balance the following month.
