Stayed at Sherwood Forest for a week at the end of August. Expensive but we have been before and the children wanted to return. Disappointed that the comfort villa had not been updated - stinking loo, black grouting around the bath and a very saggy, old double bed. Not comfortable! Love the cycling in the forest but think that it is all very overpriced generally. Returned home to the 'welcome home' email and checked to see what it would cost next year for a 'new' villa (hoping to avoid the stink etc.) and was amazed and annoyed to see it would be less (yes less) than we had paid this year. Talk about feeling ripped off this year. Complained and was told that the price was to encourage people to book early for next year - hey, but no price guarantee unless you are a return booking within 28 days of your stay. Basically you only get a good deal if you book a year in advance or last minute - so the rest of us pay through the nose? Thanks a lot Center Parcs. Doubt we will be back.
