I implore you - DO NOT USE Avis! Returned the car (which had scratches galore when I collected it) and returned it on a Bank Holiday Monday. Was told they would be closed so to park and leave the keys with the concierge in the hotel. TWO WEEKS LATER I receive an invoice for £210 as there was damage to the bumper (so they say!) - I was not involved in any collision when using the car and they were useless on the phone. I wonder how many other customers (who return a car when they're closed) are invoiced for these phantom accidents. If they can't be bothered to employ staff after closing hours then they shouldn't agree for the car to be returned after that time - duh!!! I can't help but wonder if I will be paying for all the scratches the car had to start with!!!!!
