Paid £750 for a peak season week with 2 year old grandson. Superior plus caravan very disappointing. Unpleasant smell on opening up, we eventually got used to it and kept windows open and used plenty of air freshener. In the lounge soft furnishings/seating looked dirty and were torn, mattresses very lumpy and uncomfortable, cleaning had obviously been carried out but there is only so much you can do in a van with years of wear and tear. The TV was a 14inch ancient Toshiba without remote control, in fact I realised everthing portable/removable had been taken out of van, no bath mats/settee cushions/Hoover. The management on site apologised when I complained. I wrote to Haven Holidays, who again apologised but instead of accepting that maybe the company were not investing sufficiently suggested it was just my view of what "I felt" a caravan should offer for £750 per week. Unless Haven begin to listen to customers who have legitimate complaints and accept that caravans are sometimes objectively just not up to scratch, then entries on this site will continue to pile up and customers will not return to feed their business in the future.
