we went to The Wedding Company today, my sister and I,to look for a petticoat.
We had the money with us to purchase one,and simply wanted to try it on before buying,
My sister is about a size 12/14 and is 38 weeks pregnant, and was worried about it fitting over her hips as she normally has a hourglass figure and the petticoats looked a little smaller than she had expected, althought they had flexible pannels
when she said she'd like to try it on (not over her bump!) the woman said she couldn't as she might STRETCH it, so could she try on the display one (thats is tatty and torn from people trying it on when it must have been too small for them)
Holding back the tears she left the store.
It's such a shame as we made the trip there especially as we have had decent service in the past when purchasing table scatter and bridesmaids jewelery etc
I'm not sure if the woman understood how hurtful her comments were, however, we shall NEVER recommend this place, nor visit it again.
