In about 3 months and possibly 25 hours of use I changed the batteries on this digital camera about 5 times. Luckily they were only AA batteries and nothing too expensive, but still it got old. So I returned the camera for an upgraded MX-600 model which include the rechargeable battery. I enjoy the battery life, but the bulkiness of the camera is not so nice. The sleek design of the MX-1200 spoiled me therefore I am currently awaiting the receipt of yet another Fuji digital camera...the MX-1700. This camera has the sleek compact design as well as the rechargeable battery pack...I think I'll finally be in heaven. As far as the Fuji brand, you can never go wrong...
