Budget Car Insurance = 0 points out of 5 for everything - I had to give them 1 star to post this review.

Beware the automatic policy renewal. You can by all means call them and cancel. Be warned though - in my case this did not stop them taking the full policy renewal from my card anyway after verbally agreeing that the policy was cancelled and no premium would be taken. This constitutes misrepresentation under English Law. Yet another company that thinks they are too big and powerful to have to, or need to comply with the law and treat customers fairly and in accordance with it.

This happened in May 2009. Today is September 10th 2009 and Budget are still prevaricating and moving the goal posts - still no refund as yet. Before taking insurance with Budget Car Insurance, consider carefully whether you can afford to have hundreds of pounds removed from your bank account without your permission come renewal time.

Customer service is beyond contempt. Budget Insurance are happy to misrepresent and break the law to make money. Smart people avoid Budget Car Insurance *thumbs up*
