What a nightmare. When we reached the easyjet ticket counter there was no one there! And we had less than two hours until our flight. We asked a few people standing around and they had no information of where the employees were. Finally about 45 minutes before our flight someone waddles to the counter. She seemed surprised anyone was there. Does no one fly easyjet? We really started to get nervous. When we got to our departing gate, there was no plane. Again, no employee to ask for help. The Rome airport is a disaster to begin with, and on top of it we had to deal with an airline that we started to believe really didn't exist! Finally, we learned that the plane was at another gate, and that it would be two hours late. In a way that was good since we were being run around in circles. When we finally boarded the flight, we again were confused. There were only about 20 people on the entire plane. We wondered how it could not be more full considering it cost so little. Well, we were about to take off when suddenly the plane turned around and returned to the gate. Apparently a warning light had gone off in the cockpit and we had to deplane. Returning to the gate meant we missed our take off slot. The next flight out was six hours. We finally decided to go to the ticket counter for Alitalia. We were able to get a roundtrip last minute at the counter price to Bari for $250 each. We decided that it was worth it. Screw easyjet.
