Had an American Express card for about 5yrs. At £600 handy for family travel insurance, the odd 2 for 1 hotel deal etc. Tested travel service v Trailfinders last month. Virgin (Amex partner airline)& Raffles (partner hotel) same flights/same day. Centurion price over £1000 more than Trailfinders who took 2hrs, not 2days to confirm. Amex 'effort' was through brochure I could have got from any high st travel agent! And now they want £1800 for this? 2 out of 3 top restaurants visited in Barbados wouldn't take Amex either - thank God for Visa. Will not be renewing next month. It's a joke.
