DFS - never ever would I deal with them again! I ordered a lovely white leather sofa from DFS in their half price sale. The sales person was great, we paid our deposit and the full balance on my husband debit card before delivery. 2 unfriendly, non-communicating delivery men delivered the sofa and then left. On checking the sofa, I found 14 marks on it, from a tear, 3 scruffs, torn leather around the stitching and orange high-lighter pen. I phoned the store to be told that a repair man would be out to assess the damage and repair it for me. I explained that I would not accept a repair and that I wanted to reject the sofa and have a refund. A staff member came out to me the same afternoon, as I informed them I had made a complaint to the Trading Standards Department and gave them my claim number. He tried to convince me to have repairs made and when I wouldn't agree he said he would speak to another person. The next day another person phoned me and again harrassed me into agreeing to repairs, which I would not. He said he would telephone me on Mon at 10am to give me a new delivery date for a replacement sofa. At 2pm a customer service advisor phoned me to say she had spoken to the manufacturer and before she could add anymore I told her I wouldn't be treated in this way and to come and get the sofa and give me a full refund. They are coming to collect the sofa on Thurs and I have asked them to email when he has initiated the refund, then I will cancel the Trading Standards Complaint. Don't forget guys under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 we can reject the item if it is faulty or has any minor defects! Please don't be bullied!!!!
