This mascara is wonderful!!! i've tried other Almay mascaras and didn't like them as much as this one. I live in AZ where temps reach over 110 in the summer so its important i don't have "racoon eyes" mid day. The formula makes my eyelashes soft and plyable not flakey and crunchy. I use the blackest shade they sell and the color is pretty good (i'll still coat with my super dark mascara for when i go out at night). I have short sparce eyelashes and this really extends their length and volume with out clumping. Only downfall is that for the waterproof it really is water/soap proof make sure you buy eye makeup remover specified for waterproof formulas or good luck getting it off. oh and don't bend down infront of a 400 deegree stove it will melt your eyelashes together lol other than that great buy especially since the price dropped recently at walmart from $8 to $5 a tube.
