La Brasseria has a great, rustic atmosphere. The quality of food varies on whether you go for lunch or an evening meal. The lunch time offer is great value for money offering 2 courses for £8.95. I recommend the fillets of beef in peppercorn sauce served with chips. However, my starter was of very poor quality (spare ribs). They tasted like they had been cooked for weeks. Service is exceptional, if so looking slightly chaotic. You get the feeling of being rushed through your food. Evening meals are dearer with a fillet steak costing £16.25 with chips or jacket potato but cooked to perfection. This restaurant is all about having good simple food with a Spanish feel, whilst enjoying a glass of the vast selection of wines on offer with friends or loved ones.
