My husband took insurance with Saga when he reached 50 year before last, the quote was reasonable and we decided to go ahead, didn't make a claim and in fact he NEVER has in over 30 years of driving. When we came to renew the cost has gone up quite a bit but they said they would match ANY quote so he rang them with a better quote from AXA only to be told, "sorry we can't match that" and that was that. We proceeded with other company One Call who are underwritten by AXA,6 MONTHS after we got the policy we received a letter saying we only had 5 years no claims (according to Saga and they wanted to charge us £119 extra)MY husband spoke to Saga and explained he'd sent them proof that he had full protected no claims and the stupid woman at Saga said they didn't check and as far as they were concerned we had 5 years and was NO help at all. Thankfully the AA were much more helpful and had our details on the system and are going to send us a copy of our full no claims, IF you take a policy with Saga and then try to go elsewhere BEWARE they will only say you have FIVE years regardless, avoid them the plague!!THEY ARE THE MOST USELESS COMPANY EVER, i know they tend to deal with older clients but older people that drive aren't senile or stupid, unlike SAGA!!!!

    Very good - I was going to consider SAGA for my renewal but I won't bother now.
