In Southend on sea the bus company arriva has cut the number eight from two an hour to just one an hour. I use to get the 06:58hrs number eight to work. Now I have to get the 07:25hrs bus to work. The bus stop near to were I live I can not use as the bus is full with school kids who get off at the next stop. So I walk every morning to the stop were they get off so I can then get on. But this morning 070909 was the last straw for me. I stuck out my hand and the bus just did not stop. I had a friend on the bus who I work with and he said that the kids rang the bell for that stop but the driver still did not pull in. The end result is I had to get a cab to work costing me £7 as the next number eight turns up at 08:24hrs. It gets me that while I am at the bus stop an out of service bus goes past and then turns round and becomes a number seven. Who on earth worked out this so called time table I do not know.
