I bought this rifle a while ago, as soon as I saw it I knew it was going to be great. The wood, finish, and general build are superb. It looks lovely.
I used RWS Superdomes (These are 100% the pellets for this gun) I'm drilling a hole at 15m. At 30yrds, this rifle still performs, it's highly accurate, and very pleasing to fire. The recoil is pretty intense, maybe this will lead some to be less accute with this gun, but it's quite satisfying to be honest. The trigger could have done with being a little more adjustable, but that's ok.
As with any new gun, I cleaned the barrel, for some reason, no matter what gun you buy, or where from, it's always got this brown stuff clogging up the barrel, so I used JB Compound and get all that out, now it's even more accurate. I love this gun to bits, I plan to go hunting with it soon, and i'm really looking forward to seeing how this gun performs in the field.
I want to try striking a match with it, but i'm not sure how to go about it. I'm quite the crack shot, but that just seems crazy (with iron sights anyway) I've fitted a Hawke Sport HD, that too is a lovely scope.
I highly recommend this BSA Meteor gun. Top marks!!!
