I damaged my car shortly after taking out cover with Diamond and they arranged for it to go to a local repairer. I was told it would take three days for the car to be fixed - it actually took five weeks. Every day from the second week onwards, I received a call from Diamond at lunchtime to say my car would be ready by 5pm - and every day, I called the garage shortly before 5pm and was told it still wasn't ready. I complained to Diamond once I had received my car back, and all they did was pass the letter to the repairer for a response - who wrote back blaming Diamond. The following year, they increased my premium from £300 a year to £800 for making one claim (the only one I'd ever had in 10 years of driving).
