I've been a Egg Customer from the beginning and initially found them to be very good (good rate on savings, great/easy to use website etc)but appalled at the interest rates hikes on their credit card for the last 12 months or so. I've risen from 17% to 26.9 due to 'personal reviews'. When challenged this Egg would only given me a general explanation about interest rates (which makes no sense since they're dropping) and the 'current economic climate'. They claimed they weren't able to comment on an individual basis and yet originally said this was a 'personal review'... you go figure. Anyway I have never missed a single payment or come close to my max credit limit and I often pay off large chunks in one go. I guess I'm a really bad customer then. They don't care about the customers, only about squeezing as much money out as possible. Get a Barclaycard instead - way better.
