I am currently a member at David Lloyds in Chorley Lancashire.
The facilities are second to none with a huge gym with an indoor and outdoor pool.
The staff are warm and friendly.
However watch out for the tatics of the sales team as they will tell you anything you want to hear and hope you dont read the small print on the contract.
I joined my daughter (£30 a month)for what I was told was for an intial 3 months and then I had to only provide one full months notice to end the contract.
This seemed perfect as I just wanted to cover the summer months and I told them this.
However when I came to cancel after 5 months I was told my daughter's membership was actually a 12 month contract!!
They also cancel certain childrens activities at a moment's notice and they never appear again.
For example my daughter attended the netball class very saturday morning which she loved but was soon cancelled and now does not appear on the timetable.
Bang goes my gym time!
As a matter of principal I am now cancelling my membership.
