I found tiscali excessively slow, the routers they provided constantly broke down and their tech help was just £2 a minute for someone from india to read you the instruction manual. I was once told that the extension cable I was using was the reason my router wasn't working. When I told them I'd been running it like that for over a year, they still said that was the reason! Madness! Then, I requested a new router which arrived within 3 days except they never gave me the correct disc for a Mac. When I called their hotline, they gave me some complicated instructions which didn't work anyway. The router was overheating and breaking down daily even though it was mounted on a wall in a cool room and constantly had to be restarted.
All this led to me wanting to leave tiscali...
I extended my contract with them and then they made me wait 4 months to 'retrieve' the mac code - in other words they were making it difficult for me to leave them - before piling leaving charge after leaving charge. Would NEVER use again.
