The Bottom Drawer provide a great service for people who would like cash to buy their own gifts for a wedding or any other big event. We wanted to use cash donations for a honeymoon but didn't want to be tied in with a particular travel provider and instead just shop around for the best deal. We used The Bottom Drawer to create 'gifts', for example - a couples massage, champagne on arrival, dinner for two etc which gives the contributor the feeling that they are buying more of a tangible gift, as some people don't feel comfortable just giving cash in an envelope.
We also had some people based overseas who wanted to give us a gift, which this facilitated perfectly. The admin fee is reasonable for such a helpful medium for friends and family to use.
If you tell the team what you want to buy in advance, they may even have arrangements set up with the company to get you a discount. If they don't have any then they'll try to work with them for a deal on your behalf.
I shopped around across a few companies that do something similar to this but definitely found this to be the best and most reasonable for what we wanted to do.
