My boyfriends family have been camping at scotts farms for many years and so I was really looking forward to my first camping experience. This weekend 4 of us turned up (2 couples) and were told that we were not welcome because we were in a group and we might "talk to eachother".

The reception area was very busy and the staff really didn't seem to be coping at all well - they didn't really know what they were doing and there were a lot of very unhappy people in the area being given very differing information depending on who they were speaking to. The staff were so rude and so aggressive that I am amazed they had anyone staying on his site at all (its probably only a matter of time before someone really twats him one). Although they said they had turned us away because we were a group of adults I also saw them turn away a couple of single mums and their children and various other "families" - it was all very random and I really couldn't fathom out his criteria at all. The staff looked very unsure and were very obviously embarrassed by this disgraceful behavior.

I would urge anyone contemplating staying here to think again. I only wish we had read the reviews on this site before turning up there as we would have saved ourselves a lot of aggrevation and abuse. I've given Scotts Farm 1 star because I had to in order to post this review not because there was any part of our experience there that deserved it.

Anyway Scotts Farms loss was our gain - we found a lovely site just down the road, Wicks Farm, which was so much nicer. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more welcoming. The site facilities were great - plenty of them, all very clean - the atmosphere was very relaxed and calm and we had a lovely time.
