Have always used Holiday Autos for many years and have found that there have been no extras to pay on collecting the car. Not any more. Hired car from Dublin Airport where their agent is Thrifty. Long queue at airport desk (none at other car hire desks. Told I would have to pay 15 euros a day CDW although I had paid Holiday Autos for this on booking. This would have been 120 euros for the week about half my annual car insurance. The excess was 1100 euros which they said (eventually ) could be claimed back from Holiday Autos. Other rip offs were charging for a full tank of fuel and not giving any refund for any unused fueld. The would not allow me to return the tank full for a refund. They charged 61 euros for the fuel in a peugot 107 which must have a tiny tank. They said that the Liffy bridge on the M50 had a toll of 4.50 euros which would automatically be charged to them and which they would charge me. The sign by the bridge said the toll was 3 euros and I am told account holders are only charged 2 euros. So they have a 125% mark up on this. I will not be using Holiday Autos or Thrifty again.
