From reading some of the reviews on this site, my wife and I were both very apprehensive about our holiday especially after what some people had said about the campsite as we were camping. Upon arrival our minds were put at ease, the campsite is huge and you can pith anywhere you like which was ideal as we had our 5 month old baby with us and wanted somewhere quiet. The toilets and showers are in portacabins, but were very clean and well maintained, and considering we went in peak season, were never too busy. Admittedly, the car park was very muddy due to rain. The area was hilly, but what do you expect for a site on a cliff. The swimming pools were brilliant, lots of waterslides for the kids and lifeguards everywhere. The entertainment was fantastic, keeping the kids busy for hours. There are two entertainment venues, one aimed more at adults and teenagers, the other at younger children. The beach was nice, but there was alot of seaweed both washed up and in the shallows, there was a sign explaining why it was there and that it cleared regularly. There is a shop onsite that is slightly pricey, there is also a Starbucks and a shop for the children where they can paint pottery and meet special guests, who on this occasion was Spiderman. The entertainment staff were really friendly and approachable, on our last day they were playing games with the children at breakfast time and were face painting and genaerally having fun. Overall this was one of the nicest short breaks I've been on, and we do about five a year. If, like my wife and I, you go on holiday for your children to have fun, then at Haven Devon Cliffs, they will never be short of something to do.

Centre Parcs say that is was due to refurbishment, I beleive it was due to labour costs at this quiet time of the year. Albeit still great choice in the eating department.
