Well, I'm not exactly sure where all of these people have visited because I was extremely dissapointed with The Forbidden Corner! After travelling for alomst 2 & a half hours to get there it was an extreme let down. When looking at the leaflet it didn't actually classify what the forbidden corner is (museum, theme park etc) but after visiting I now know why, it can't be classified as anything other than some statues and tunnels in the middle of the dales! It definately is not for younger children, some of the things would be quite scary for some young ones! The narrow tunnels where probably the worst thing, at one point you have to get on your hands and knees to crawl through. Not suitable for the elderly, disabled or young children. The best thing there was the toilets which where surprisingly clean! For the same amount of money you can visit cadbury world in birmingham which is by far a better day out! Forbidden corner? The name should be taken literally!

Surely the reason it is not classed as a theme park or museum is because it is unique, simply classed as a folly which it is. My children ages 3 and 7 absolutely loved it, I can see how it could be scary to under fours but thats why they let them in free of charge?
When you say about a part when you have to crawl on your hands and knees you are mistaken, from what we were told, that tunnel is supposed to be a trick! It seems as though the doorway is in the distance but in fact it gets smaller and smaller the further you go until you have to turn back, when you do so you will see the hidden passage where you were supposed to go (not climb through the small doorway).
Finally you compared the Forbidden Corner to Cadburys World which is a completly different type of attraction all togather!

Please get your facts right before posting a review in the future!!!!

I found this review not helpful because...it is trying to promote another attraction by complaining about this one.

Haha! Well if you want your children ages 3 & 7 to hear 'devil tongue' speak in one of the rooms you must have something wrong with you!!
It is an awfull day out and that the end of it.
I meant for the same amount in cost you can visit cadburys world if you want a nice day out...
So you get your facts right :-D

I've been reading your comments on other peoples reviews of the forbidden corner... I'm starting to think you may work for them?! You have an awful lot of time to read everyone's reviews on the forbidden corner and respond to them! A bit sad really when it is down to everybodys individual opinion at the end of the day :-)
