6 months into comprehensive policy, decided to take out European Breakdown cover, cost was 70 quid. Diamond suggested paying with parents listed Visa card on account, I went overeseas for two months. Diamond had a problem getting the money, the visa card had been replaced with another. Diamond sent out letter informing me of the problem, but obviously as I was overseas for 2 months did not recieve them. They have my email address and phone number but do not try and call. They just cancel my insurance, so for the two months I was out of the country and my mother was dring the car it was uninsured. Why did'nt they just cancel the Breakdown cover, the insurance premium had been paid in full at the start of the policy 6 months before. When I called them to find out what had gone on they just advised me to take out another policy, asked why they could not have emailed or phoned me they just said they comunicate only by letter.
Thanks very much... I have taken out a new policy but certainly not with Diamond + the insurance was better cover for less money..
we could have been stopped by police and through no fault of our own been uninsured!!
