HAGGETSON CASTLE
Just returned early from a 7 night break at Haggerston Castle. Five Stars is a joke. Caravan was ok, clean, thin pillows, not enough pillow covers or duvet covers, decor and appearance not what I was expecting from a prestige level costing nearly £800,The location was in Turnburry and was quiet with loads of space around you to let our toddler play. There was nothing to do apart from spend a fortune on slot machines and queue for ages to get into the pool. We queued this morning only to be told that it was only the outdoor pool that was open. It was far too cold to take a three year old into. She was in tears not understanding why she couldn't go into the warm main pool. Only ate in Chinese, very nice and reasonable, went to Morrisons 10 mins away and cooked every day, safer and cheaper as onsite shop is rubbish, poor choice, do not rely on this to cook any meals, expensive too ! Why people want to buy a caravan on this site is beyond me, nitelife is old fashioned. We normally go to Center Parcs and will be back there next time instead. Staff were all very helpful including the maintenance man who came and fixed the piece of wood with loads of sharp nails poking thru, great with a young child running about although it did take a follow up trip to reception 24hrs later. Hey he even took hubbie to garage to help him with back tyre which had been deliberatly deflated by some prat on site the 1st night we arrived(nice start to our holiday). DO NOT go here unless you enjoy sitting around bored all day or spending a fortune on slot machines, not my cup of tea but hey everyones different !

Center Parcs - Review - Centre Parcs Oasis Windfell Forest
Centre Parcs say that is was due to refurbishment, I beleive it was due to labour costs at this quiet time of the year. Albeit still great choice in the eating department.
