Island Escape is the first cruise I have been on and I have not been put off. The food was excellent and very varied. The crew were always friendly and helpful. The evening entertainers were talented, with good singers and dancers. Daytime entertainment around pool was more like Butlins/Pontins but it depends on what you like. Didn't use pool as it was overrun by older children jumping and diving in. 6 year old son enjoyed kids club and smaller pool. The rooms were clean as was the rest of the ship (slight problem with toilets around pool area though)The main complaint I have is that the ship is in need of a complete modernisation as it is very dated, there is also a constant judder which you do get used to. Think carefully before booking tours and make sure that it is the best one for you, there are more to choose from once on board, we stuck to what we chose before cruise but should have read more about others. Would cruise again but on a larger ship with more facilities but this was good for a taster. I enjoyed waking up in a different place every day with new places to visit.
