It's official. Expedia can kiss my dirty grits! I will neeevvvverrr book with them again! I will use the credit they have issued to my account & then I will dump them :) I booked a flight with them last year with insurance, but had to cancel. I went to use the refund this year & booked another flight. I was charged the difference, which was fine with me. Then, after a few days when I had received no email confirmation, I called back only to be told that the flight had not been booked & that I would have to call the airline directly to apply my refund to a new flight. So, I booked another trip to a different location in a different state. I then, called the airline to try to book a flight with them directly. Only to be told that the flight had been booked. Imagine my surprise, I was now booked for two different trips to two different states for the same travel dates. They charged me for both & had the nerve to keep on the phone for nearly 2hrs with customer service trying to decipher what had happened. In the end, I guess that I should be grateful that they refunded me my own money back, under the condition that I use it with them, which of course is a credit to my account. They also gave me an extra $50. It would have been grate, except I'd rather gnaw off my own arm than do business with them again. They could've kept that stinkin' credit. What decent hotel can I stay at for under $50. Are you kidding?
