My family and I have just returned from Butlins Minehead; (Myself, My Wife and our 2 Year old Son. The check in process is quite simple but on arrival at our room (silver accomodation) the smell of damp was over powering; we reported this immediatly and where told they had problems with damp previously however this smell was nothing compared to before! In all fairness they did shampoo the carpet for us, however the smell did not disapear the whole four nights of our stay! The food hall is very busy a good selection of food is laid on but it is repetative. All the entertainment is excellent. But I do have to say not one Red Coat ever acknowledged us even with a toddler shouting and waving at them!
The entertainment acts redeamed Butlins slightly in our eyes, but never again!!!!!!
