We bought a hotpoint fridge freezer last December. By May we'd had two engineers come to fix it (Ice build up in freezer, fridge not cold enough, loud noises). Hotpoint replaced it after I threatened to take them to the small claims as the thing didn't do its job and they couldn't fix it in a timely manner (We'd waited weeks for them to try and get one part!!) We've had the new one for 3 months and it has started to make loud noises.

Hotpoint used to be a reputable manufacturer, but like so many others have reported, their fridge freezers are a pile of junk.
You'll lose money in phone calls to engineers, lose food because the thing doesn't work, and who knows how much electric they guzzle?

I had to give it one star simply to get this review accepted, but it really gets a big thumbs down on every point!
