I bought this Polycell SmoothOver Textured Walls & Ceilings to cover the very abrasive surface (max 2mm bumps) in the entrance vestible of my bungalow. It was difficult to apply at first, but once i got the hang of it progress was swift. I rolled out 0.5 m square sections and then smoothed it using the smoothover tool. When it dried I sanded it down and did another coat. The finish is fine and is a huge improvement on the previous surface. Possibly plastering would have been cheaper and easier, but this was much more convenient for a newby diy-er.
