Purchased eternity ring which the branch sized. After 6 weeks ring was bent, badly scratched and diamonds fell out the ring. Returned and exchanged but new ring started scratching badly. Ernest Jones insisted this was normal for 18ct gold (my other rings never looked so badly scratched). Two diamonds then broke. On returning product the shop said it must be my fault as perfect diamonds would not break. I know that I did not damage the ring and can only assume the diamonds were poor quality. The lifetime guarantee is useless as they insist their products are perfect and therefore any fault must be caused by buyer. Staff hopeless and almost inferred I had damaged ring.
