Having been an American Express cardholder since 89 and a Centurion card holder since 99 I am appalled at the increase in the fees. I find you have to be very lucky to get anyone in client services who can be bothered and they rarely if ever call you back or manage to get better deals on travel or tickets.
From day one when I tried to get them to organise a gift for someone overseas whilst I was abroad to missing currency, tickets for gigs with the wrong information which ended up in us practically being accused of ticking touting to general administration; very little ends up being facilitated or processed properly. I have complained on many occasions and all I get is offers of compensation, I have repeatedly said if they got these simple things correct they would save themselves a lot of money....

When I called Centurion to say I maybe discontinuing the card I felt a "virtual shrug" and was told it was invitation only and "I may not be asked again !
