I've had a virgin credit card for a couple of years now and initially I used it for the 0% interest. Everything set up nicely and transferred my balance great! I set up a DD for a fixed amount to overpay minimum balance. They were very quick to charge me a £12 late payment fee when my minumum payment went up my 20p! I rang up (finding the correct phone number was difficult as its not on the statements!) and they agreed to repay me the default sum Yeah! I asked to set my DD to the minimum and they said I would have to pay extra the next month to give it time to set up - so I did. The next month I receive a statement with another default charge! I think i have now had 3 late charges due to their error - they have refunded them all butwhat strikes me is that these defaults probably feature on my credit score (I have't checked this yet) which now I believe is the reason I was declined for another CC and forcing me to stay with Virgin! Watch OUt!
