“Haven Weymouth Bay is a big let down, arrived at 15.55...”

Written on: 22/08/2009

Haven Weymouth Bay is a big let down, arrived at 15.55 on the 15thAugust 2009 to be told check in was at 4pm so could we wait until then, got into caravan was shocked to find it was only a 2 bedroom even though we'd booked a 3, so off we went to reception to explain this, there error gave us wrong van by mistake( so they say i think maybe not on reflection) got into new van all nice and clean or so it seemed, wet carpets as they'd just been cleaned. Smelt a little muggy but thought that was due to hot weather, only after 1 night and the van being locked up whilst out shopping did we realise the carpet still soaking and really smelly like tom cat pee yuk yuk yuk, so after complaining they came and cleaned the carpet whilst we spent the day out. On arrival back at the van some 10 hours later it still stank awful, so back to reception,( yes you all guessed it) we'll send a manager in to look, it was a cleaner armed with some carpet deodoriser, she took 1 step in van and said this won't work it really pongs in here, so back off to reception only to find the girl had legged it for the night, so then a security gaurd was dispatched to our van( why only he and they will know maybe he was going to look out for the cat that had peeed in the van) he said please don't complain to reception as they only offer meal tickets please complain to Head office in Hemel, he offered us the gold lodge for the night but said you'll have to come back to van in morning, so we phoned up and spoke to another night watchman, who replied i'll call you back in 2 minutes as he was dealing with an emergency, it's now 22nd and still waiting for his call lol, so next morning back to reception we're we was told we could move to another van possibly later that day, but only after our van had been inspected for a seventh time. so 3 caravans later we moved again to yes a nicer van or so it seemed carpets we're again wet as they had just cleaned them. After a few hours they began to stink also and the toilet floor stank of urine as some idiot decided that carpeting a floor in a toilet was a good idea. Duhhhhhh as if all men can aim straight i think after 3 vans and 2 days out we should be compensated. Weymouth
