My Detective Special has been excellent, for intended use. I have had it for 25 years. Other than one problem, accuracy, you could not ask for anything better. At 25 - 35 feet the rounds make a tight cluster the problem is that is about 8 - 10 inches from the aim point. Yes, I shoot from a pistol rest and have not problem with my other 7 handguns. I firmly believe that if I could only choose one of my handguns as my only personal defence weapon I would select this one. It is light and small enough to carry, my wife has no trouble shooting it, it has enough power, holds 6 rounds and many other reasons. I hand load and have tried many different rounds to improve accuracy, no luck, yet. I would never sell this revolver. I wish I could find laser sights, no luck on that one either. If you can find one grab it.
