I would not recommend dealing with Net-A-Porter. After several attempts at placing an order for a miu miu bag as a gift, I was still unable to complete the purchase. The initial issue came when I was only able to ship my billing address. I wanted to ship it directly to the gift recipient but the company was unable to accommodate. After 30 minutes on the phone with customer service, conferencing in my bank to obtain an authorization code, they said that the order would be processed.
I received a call an hour later to say that the transaction could not be processed. I called back a day later and offered to come to their offices to pick up the bag, with my credit card and ID. The only solution they offered was adding the shipping address to my credit card. Considering that the bag was a gift, I think this request / solution was unrealistic and unreasonable.
Overall, dealing with 3 seperate customer service people and over an hour of frustration, I had a terrible experience and would imagine that they would be more accommodating particularly considering we're in a recession. I definitely would not recommend this vendor and can't imagine the aggrivation if I had an issue with an order, considering they were so unaccommodating when I tried to actually place an order.
